PolyPipe'sErwin, Tennesseeproduction facility is looking for a Shipping Attendant that can hit the ground running!

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Keeps physical inventories within the shipyard by adding and deleting supplies/materials/finished products as they are shipped and received
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures outgoing shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records

• Administers training to Shipping Attendants on the proper loading/unloading procedures, in addition to, defect identification methods
• Monitors loading operations to ensure adherence to standard loading procedures
• Directs movement of finished goods to storage locations within the shipyard
• Escalates all significant shipping issues to Materials Manager
• Assists Shipping Attendants with the loading and unloading of trucks

• Maintains a neat and orderly work area
• Follows all safety requirements of this position
• Abides by all policies and procedures in the associate handbook, quality and health and safety policies
• Performs all other duties as directed by management, and may be expected to occasionally complete responsibilities outside standard business hours

What will help you succeed in this role?

• Mobility sufficient to allow frequent entrance and exits from lift truck
• We need someone with great attendance record-Teamwork & Reliabilityis key!

• Attention to Detail
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to step over and / or bend under objects
• Able to lift up to 50 Ibs with or without reasonable assistance
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and nights
