1st Shift Sewist – Union Company and GREAT Benefits!

A well-established Union manufacturing company in Cincinnati that offers benefits once hired. They are willing to train those with little machine operating experience.

Position Details:

Multiple candidates are needed for their sewing machine operating area. This is a 1st shift position with the hours of 7:00am-5:00pm Monday-Thursday (4 days a week), with starting the pay of $15.00/hr.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
 The Sewing Machine Operator is directly responsible for operating an industrial style sewing machine to sew materials into tubes, bags, liners, or other materials in accordance with orders or instructions, with the least amount of waste and maximum quality and quantity.
 

  • The operator threads sewing machine with the proper thread as required.
  • Sews tubes, bags, liners, or other products, using either a flat or turnover seam, as indicated on the manufacturing instructions.
  • Inspects materials to be sewn and rejects any materials with noticeable defects.
  • Record all production information for each order.
  • Keep the working area around the sewing machine in orderly condition.
  • Accepts direct supervision from the supervisor.
  • Complete all miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • HSD/GED is required
