**SIGN-ON BONUS**

Alaris Health at West Orange, a 120 bed-skilled nursing Center in West Orange, New Jersey, seeks an assistant director of nursing services to assist and participate in the development, organization and implementation of the philosophy, objectives, policies, procedures and standards of nursing care in accordance with regulation and with the Center’s goals. Additional responsibilities include:

• working closely with the director of nursing to assess the quality of nursing care being delivered and make improvements or changes to the Center’s nursing practices accordingly
• evaluating resident care, individual employees’ progress and general nursing practices daily and ensuring that the Center adheres to all codes and policies
• operating in accordance with the legal aspects of nursing and all federal and state regulations
• assisting in conducting employees’ performance reviews
• assisting in the management of the nursing unit 24 hours per day
• adequately staffing the department relative to the number of residents
• ensuring that MDS and resident care plans are completed in a timely manner and comply with all nursing Center/regulatory policies
• and above all, ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current registered nurse licensure by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing; BSN is preferred
• Minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing
• Minimum of one year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred
• Possess thorough knowledge of: nursing theory, techniques and practices, modern nursing care equipment and devices and medications, their dosages and expected results
• Problem-solving and decision-making Ability to work independently and effectively problem0soMust possess the ability to work independently, problem solve and make decisions as necessary.
• Ability to positively interact with everyone from residents to government agencies and the general public
