Job Details:

• Position: ASL interpreter
• Type: Part time. Up to 15 hours per week.
• Location: United States Submarine Force Museum at 1 Crystal Lake Road, Groton, CT 06340
  
  

Job Summary:

Sanford Federal, Inc is looking to a qualified ASL interpreter to perform their duties for the U.S Navy’s Submarine Force Museum in Groton, CT.

Qualification:

• Must be a national certified interpreter with the Registry of Interpreters for the deaf. (RID)
• Must have a minimum of three years’ experience as a RID certified ASL interpreter.
• Preferable to have familiarity with the culture/unique language terms of the United States Navy.
  
  

Duties:

The interpreter is expected to perform interpretation for hearing impaired employees for the following services:

• Routine and special meetings with the employees.
• Weekly all-hands meetings and training
• On the Job training
• Project teams/process Improvement meetings
• Performance/administrative support meetings
• Special events such as military ceremonies, employee recognition events, etc.
