Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President of Account Management for Walmart, the Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and building client relationship(s) as the day-to-day contact for multiple projects. This role drives project deliverables and manages the timelines for on-floor visual merchandising and graphic execution projects. Projects include both private label and brands within various categories across all Walmart doors. The role collaborates with the Operations and Account Training teams at Winston to ensure quality execution and reporting are achieved on all client projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

Build, expand and maintain client business by building critical relationships and by supporting the development of strategic proposals.

  • Lead and oversee the client relationship and project timeline from SOW creation thru to execution. Ensure all components of the SOW are delivered on time and in accordance with Winston and Walmart standards. 
  • Create initiatives to affect merchandising at Walmart, define the success measurements, manage the execution and summarize our work to show the results to Walmart through various presentation formats. Lead the discussion of suggestions and adjustments for merchandising and installations to enhance the transformation of Walmart in the future.
  • Meet with Walmart clients and travel local markets as needed to review field performance, drive visual merchandising initiatives and provide insights of retail benchmarks, training and talent.
  • Initiate and deliver weekly/monthly reporting and summaries to convey the impact of Winston services on Walmart’s initiatives and business. 
  • Drive program execution through all cross-functional departments within Winston and Walmart
  • Collaborate with Winston’s Director of Walmart Operations to ensure projects are staffed with talent that has the skill set to meets/exceed execution requirements, visits are completed on time and on budget
  • Provide timely feedback to the Operations team with a focus on improving execution, building cross-functional collaboration and identifying and engaging top talent.
  • Create a “Field First” mentality by engaging teams, celebrating success, and addressing coaching opportunities that will lead to minimal field turnover.
  • Provide oversight as needed during weekend project initiatives to ensure projects are executing to plan. 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 4-year or advanced degree
  • 3+ years in client service within a brand or retail organization
  • Demonstrated experience in:
  • Developing client relationships
  • Managing budgets, driving business growth, and analyzing trends and opportunities
  • Utilizing business metrics to deliver against financial goals
  • Working in a cross-functional environment
  • Prior experience working with Walmart preferred
  • High level excel skills and data driven
  • Motivated to learn proprietary systems within Winston required for execution of this job
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including presenting new ideas in an organized and detailed manner.
