  • Manages preparation and review of UL’s financial statements and ensures integrity of internal management reporting.
  • Ensures consistency of information provided for monthly bank reporting through coordination with Treasury department.
  • Performs review of corporate accounting calculations and analyses in areas including, but not limited to, leases, capitalized software, cloud computing, CECL, and local GAAP to US GAAP conversions.
  • Establishes and maintains accounting policies that are in compliance with US GAAP. Assists local teams with application of the policies, as well as interpretation and implementation of new accounting guidance.
  • Develops and leads internal trainings to educate key participants on accounting policies and new accounting guidance.
  • Responsible for executing internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Provides assistance to external auditors as needed throughout the year.
  • Represents accounting in IT system implementations, including performance of user acceptance testing as necessary.
  • Builds relationships and collaborates with other functional areas as needed, including corporate accounting, business leads, FP&A, legal, and finance management.
  • Leads or participates in accounting integration for newly acquired businesses.
  • Participates in due diligence and other special projects as required.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in areas of responsibility.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
  • 7+ years of directly related experience, preferably some at big four accounting firm
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of US GAAP, SOX compliance and SEC reporting
  • Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 leases is preferred
  • Experience with Oracle FCCS, Oracle EBS or Workiva is preferred
