We are a Non-Skilled Home Care Agency that serves clients with disabilities of all ages, primarily the elderly. We are looking for a Full-time Administrative Assistant to assist our Agency Administrators with overflow tasks that could include but not limited to: filing, scanning, documentation, scheduling, answering phones, running errands, inventory and supplies, copying, creating binders and documents for clients and staff, etc. You must also be willing to occasionally work as a caregiver aide after appropriate training when our caregivers call in. Administrative Assistant Responsibilities of the specific role includes:
- Demonstrate professional conduct and ethics according to agency policy and procedure.
- Maintain confidentiality of patients and all Agency operations.
- Answers the phone and disperses calls/phone messages to the appropriate staff member.
- Works to develop a positive rapport with all staff members.
- Assist in maintaining effective communication between the Agency and its clients.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Provide backup client coverage, as needed
- Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Caregiver Responsibilities of the Homemaking role includes:
- Light housekeeping, shopping or meal prep as listed on client's care plan
- Assist as assigned with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting and elimination, and adequate nutritional intake.
- Recognize and document changes in client condition and report to supervisor.
Other Job Requirements:
- CPR certification recommended
- At least1 year of clerical experience in a medical office setting
- Experience working with the elderly population or disabled population
- Must be willing to travel to surrounding areas as needed to help the Administrator
- Able to work as team member and independently
