The Opportunity
You will drive strategic projects and insight generation to contribute to shaping the future of the company. As part of the Commercial Development team, you will report to the Senior Director of Global Market Access and Business Insights and work with the Manager, Strategy & Global Market Intelligence to grow the Market Intelligence Program and build greater strategic value for Seqirus, collaborating across functions and at a global and regional level. You will have the opportunity translate external insights (both competitive intelligence and targeted market research) into strategic implications and actions for Seqirus and will also present to and serve as a thought partner to Seqirus Senior Leadership on key strategic topics. In addition, you will partner with Commercial Analytics on the development of Long-Range Planning and other insightful forecasting, and Brand Teams on Integrated Franchise Planning for the flu portfolio.
The Role
Lead the evolving Market Intelligence Program
Responsible for positioning Commercial Development as the “face” of strategic intelligence for the organization – a strategic consultant and business intelligence expert to senior management and business unit leaders across Seqirus regions and sites
Advance the organizational framework to ensure Seqirus develops, analyses, and distributes market and competitor intelligence to inform strategies and tactical execution
Develop and socialize options to expand Market Intelligence Program to elevate strategic importance to Seqirus
Expand market intelligence program to include discovery of competitor capabilities, i.e. manufacturing, research and development, Real World Evidence, Commercial footprint.
Builds bridges to improve cross-functional business collaboration, leading efforts to align on organizational opinions and implications of new market developments and competitive intelligence
Lead activities not limited to customer-related research, competitive and market intelligence reports, scenario/implications/insights development and strategic analytics
Regularly lead communications related to strategic intelligence; Ignites agility and influences change in current strategic direction and support sound decision-making through expert facilitation and by connecting the dots between intelligence and strategic direction
Unleashes outcomes by empowering local markets to assess the competitive threat and impact of existing and new market entrants
Proactively identify and communicate new growth opportunities or emerging risks
Manage Competitive Intelligence vendors and ensure external reports are incorporated and institutionalized into Seqirus own intelligence/data warehouse
Manage small team to support Market Intelligence Program
Lead the design and execution of primary market research supporting the Commercial Development team
Serve as lead point person for the design and execution of targeted primary market research initiatives that support CSL Seqirus commercial development strategic and tactical business initiatives
Develop and execute an assigned portion market insights plan, delivering critical customer insights that inform strategic and tactical business initiatives
Synthesize data from multiple sources to convey a cohesive, data-driven story and contribute to realistic, actionable, and measurable recommendations
Align organization on near and long term strategic priorities
Inform the processes to develop the 10-year Long Range Forecasts by working with Commercial Development team and Regions, Countries and cross-functionally with R&D and Operations and Finance
Influence Global and Regional Brand Management teams to develop a cohesive narrative of LRP/IFP in building future view of the market across all brands and new products
Drive strategic analyses to support the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals
Influence Senior Leadership on opportunities fitting with CSL Seqirus long-term strategy
Directs development of comprehensive market assessment reports for potential new targets or areas of interest
Contributes to business planning, including development of analytical models, scenario analyses, and other structured analysis to support senior management decision-making
Contributes to business development activities, such as commercial due diligence, as needed
Collaborates on early stage market research or forecasting to support market entry or go/no-go decisions
Gathers and analyzes cross-industry best practices, competitive intelligence, new business models and technologies to enhance current global and regional planning practices;
Inspires the future to integrate new practices into strategy formulation and execution.
Your Skills & Experiences
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Life Science, Business/Marketing, or related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years working experience in the pharmaceutical, devices, or other health care industry
Prior strategy consulting experience highly preferred
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and senior management to impact decision-making
Vaccines experience highly preferred
Demonstrated leadership and ability to lead teams and influence senior leaders
Marketing, Sales or Strategic Planning experience
Strong analytical, quantitative, strategic and creative thinking skills
Stakeholder management, customer focus

Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent workshop and meeting facilitation capabilities
PowerPoint, Excel, and verbal presentation skills
