Job Description

We’re looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional that is eager to make an impact by being directly responsible for projects and network operations. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of routing and switching technologies and knowledge of operating an enterprise, or service provider network.  Knowledge of network monitoring and network security practices will improve success in this role.  The candidate will require strong organizational and communication skills.
 

Responsibilities

• Day to day network support operations and change administration
• Project-based work to build new environments and make network upgrades
• Maintain monitoring and other systems/applications for network operations
• On call support on a rotation and after hours work for network maintenance
• Coordination with other teams and vendors as needed
• Document networks, projects, thorough updates to ticketing systems

Qualifications

• College degree or comparable certification in IT, telecommunications, computer science, or related field preferred.
• A year or more work including working with network equipment and network operations
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Cisco CCNA Certification desirable
• Basic knowledge of Layer 2 and 3 network technologies
• Experience / knowledge of other technologies is a plus (Network security, VPN, MPLS, datacenter networking, load balancing, cloud networking)
• Basic knowledge of Linux OS and or programming with Python is a plus
