Job Description

The Benefits Administrator is responsible for the administration of company benefits providing administrative and consultative guidance to company Benefit Designees, Managers/Supervisors and HR Leadership as well as to ensure adherence to Lineage's policies. Partner with HR and internal leadership to escalate problem resolution.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Answer a large volume of email and phone inquiries. Answer benefit questions, research specific questions, and respond verbally or in writing as necessary. Coordinates benefit month end for new hire enrollment Handles COBRA, terminations, and employment status changes for benefits. Audit the accuracy and performance functions within the internal benefit communication tracker Assist with testing custom benefit configuration within the benefit admin system Point of contact for external benefit enrollment help support Assist with developing communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package. Perform clerical duties such as:

  • Compiling and manipulating reports.

  • Answering telephone and providing information.

  • Demonstrate ability to use computerized payroll, spread sheets, etc.

  • Enforce health insurance court orders. Complete all insurance verification requests from outside sources.

  • Prepare articles for new hire publications.

  • Must be computer knowledgeable, specifically in Excel (knowledge in basic formulas, such as sum, left, right, VLOOKUP, pivot tables)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field Proven understanding of benefit laws and regulation including FMLA, HIPAA, ERISA, ADA and ADAAA. PHR, SPHR, PHR-CA, SPHR-CB or CEBS certification preferred. 1-3 years of HR related experience preferred.
