This employee-friendly, ultra flexible, growing job shop is looking to add a full-time, permanent Machinist to their staff. Employees enjoy working a four day workweek with flexible hours to meet their schedules. Employees are able to grow their careers into team lead roles as the company supports career growth. The employer likes to promote people from the shop floor into engineering and project leader roles. Tuition reimbursement including for degrees is also offered. Average employee tenure is approximately 15 years.
The successful candidate's duties and responsibilities will encompass the following:
- Reading blueprints
- Setting up manual boring bars, vertical machining centers and/or lathes
- Utilizing manual boring bars, vertical machining centers and/or lathes to machine parts
- Maintaining a clean, safe work environment
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
- Four years of set up and machining experience
- Manual boring bar, vertical machining center and/or lathe machinist experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- A current resume with a current, accurate, stable work history
- A solid work history
- A US citizen or possess a green card
- A residence within 45 minutes
