Position Description
Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Analyst

CGI Federal is seeking a qualified Business Continuity Management (BCM) Specialist to manage CGI Federal's BCM program. Responsibilities include all aspects of program maintenance; document content, reviews, and approvals; managing the enterprise Business Impact Analysis/Business Catalog; annual plan/program exercises; and acting as the central point of contact for end-to-end management (e.g., threat detection/assessment, internal communications, management guidance, metrics and reporting, etc.) during crisis events (e.g., fire, flood, hurricane, bomb threat, etc.) in order to protect member safety and minimize information loss, loss of revenues, and loss of corporate reputation. The role is also responsible for internal and external (ISO) audits, working with service delivery teams to win new work, and supporting client audits to maintain existing work. The candidate must understand tactical and strategic aspects of BCM, contribute to BCM tools assessments and development, and serve as a key contributor to global initiatives designed to improve BCM processes, policies, and documentation for worldwide implementation across all of CGI's business units. The candidate will also develop and test Disaster Recovery (DR) plans to ensure the continuity of critical business functions and service delivery to CGI clients and coordinate with service delivery teams to test hot sites and other data/infrastructure failover architectures so that primary or backup systems can be brought online within established Recovery Time Objectives (RTO), with minimal data loss or impact to service delivery. In the event of disaster, the candidate will work with the Crisis Management Team and service delivery teams to assess and report the impacts of the event on IT elements of the service delivery infrastructure.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The responsibilities of the BCM Specialist include, but are not limited to:
• End-to-end management of crisis events.
• Managing program documentation and tools.
• Representing BCM in internal and external audits, and with program teams and clients.
• Providing input to development of BCM communications and BCM program management tools.
• Participating as a key contributor in global corporate initiatives to standardize, build, enhance, and deploy BCM policy, documentation, and process worldwide.
• Keeping up to date with developments in BCM standards (chiefly ISO 22301:2019).
• Acting as the central point of contact for disaster recovery efforts.
• Managing Disaster Recovery documentation, testing, and plan maintenance.
• Providing guidance to service delivery teams in developing and documenting DR plans.
• Ensuring DR plans are updated and working within corporate and cloud service provider environments.
• Coordinating periodic (quarterly, annual) disaster and recovery testing.
• Providing reporting and metrics related to DR test results, risks, and potential impacts.
• Working with multiple teams and client project team members to establish and maintain a strong customer-focused working relationship.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Education or Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 6 years of related experience.
• Experience with FedRAMP, NIST compliance, and ISO 22301:2019 controls.
• Experience with cloud disaster environments for data center, AWS, and Azure environments.
• Knowledge of network architecture concepts.
• Experience writing clear and concise documents, specifically DR plans and reports.
• Experience testing disaster recovery plans.
• Organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with experience providing incident briefings to peers and management.
• Excellent writing skills and experience creating formal test reports.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Industry recognized professional certification such as the Business Continuity Institute's Certification, Certified Information Security's Certified Business Continuity Manager, DRI International's Certified Business Continuity Professional, etc.
• Experience with NIST 800-53, 800-34, and ISO 22301:2019.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner
