Position: Business Development Manager - AWS / Managed Services (Remote / WFH)
Our client is a dynamic, $100M information technology consulting and services firm based in central Ohio. They have grown dramatically over the past five years, and part of their strategy is continued growth in the AWS and cloud services space.
The Business Development Manager will develop new clients and opportunities as well as cultivate those that have been dormant. Services will be around solutions enabled by the AWS platform: application migration from on-prem to cloud, managed services around application upgrade and enhancement in an AWS environment, operations in a cloud environment, etc.
While the firm is based in central Ohio, they work with clients across the US, and the Business Development Manager can be located anywhere. A person can jump-start their success by leveraging their existing professional network.
This is a firm where attitude and aptitude trump experience. The successful candidate will be creative and self managed in pursuit of clients and business. They will have a solutions oriented approach with the ability to listen to clients, explore needs and wants, and execute through the life cycle of the deal.

Attractive base compensation depending on background and total compensation targeted in excess of $200,000.
KEY SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
  • Three or more years business experience in the IT professional services sector, preferably selling solutions, project engagements, and / or managed services.
  • Strong skills in business development - prospecting, developing client relationships, opening new accounts, etc.
  • Strong familiarity with application development, cloud, and related roles within IT.
  • Specific knowledge with AWS is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP related services is a plus (PSFT, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Experience working across a geography, not simply a local market.
  • Track record of meeting / exceeding quota.
  • Comfortable managing / recording pipeline activity via software system; Salesforce experience is ideal.
  • Strong client facing skills. Ability to interview effectively, uncover needs and wants, articulate solutions. Present to client executives.
  • Formal sales framework a plus (Sandler, Challenger, Solution Selling, etc.).
  • Familiarity / use of ATS; Ceipal experience is ideal.
