Business Intelligence Consultant

Position Description
The BI consultant is responsible for partnering to deliver pipeline/revenue, client, industry and +geography reporting/visualization/dashboard needs for C-level and SBU executives. The BI consultant also supports the development and deployment of complex dashboards for CGI's global CRM platform.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Working with C-level and SBU executives, Industry Leads, Business Partners, and Business Development Managers from across the company to identify specific analytical needs and to implement those needs in our BI systems
• Creating visualizations/dashboards and reports to support and enhance BD activities and the understanding and impact of BD activities
• Identifying leading indicators that SBU/BUs, Industry Leads, and Business Partners can use to proactively manage strategy and execution including the health of pipeline entries and activities.
• Identifying trends and performance indicators that allow strategic and tactical actions to be taken to increase the effectiveness of our organic growth opportunities.
• Answer strategic and tactical business questions using data and data visualizations
• Conduct research into data, approaches, and best practices to apply to work
• Build relationships with C-level and SBU leadership, Industry Leads, and Business Partners to support their strategic and execution needs
• Tableau community engagement and management
• Engaging with the CGI internal Tableau community
• Setting up/executing consistent management processes and best practices
• Co-Management of the Tableau instance
• Document and coordinate releases
• Align with standards and processes of the team
• Dashboards - enforce standards, manage the lifecycle
• Data Sources - identify needs, understand data, enforce standards, articulate to Tableau Support, test and verify
• Conduit to Tableau for assistance
• Aid/support to other Tableau teams
• Act with discretion and understanding of the importance and sensitivity of the data and reporting results

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Must be able to work independently a well as with a team
• Motivated self-directed, but with the ability to take direction from others
• Expert skills with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server
• Strong analytical, quantitative, qualitative, and data management skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to pay close attention to details
• Proven ability to create and deliver communications (written and verbal) and presentations to audiences at all levels in the organization
• Skilled at developing Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions including data visualizations
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to partner, influence, consult and collaborate with all levels in the organization
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities; exceptional time management and organizational skill
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to identify trends and understand the business context and impact of those trends
• Spoken and written fluency in English
• This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or related required
• A minimum of 5+ years of Tableau development experience
• Proven experience working with C-level, business leaders to understand/document their needs and create solutions
• A working knowledge of CRM and Finance solutions desired
• IT Consulting experience desired
