Job Description

Jordan's Furniture, the premier furniture/mattress retailer in New England and wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer.  Under the general direction of the Vice President of Strategic Growth, this newly created position is responsible for building and implementing reports of specialized data to drive business solutions. Develops, deploys and maintains BI interfaces utilizing query tools, data visualizations/dashboards, ad hoc reporting and data modeling/ETL tools to gather information to support and facilitate business decisions. This position is located at our corporate offices located in East Taunton, MA and will require working a hybird schedule of working 2-3 days/week in the office.


  • Supports and extends BI infrastructure including all ETL processes
  • Solicits, understands and translates business requirements from stakeholders
  • Creates reports/dashboards
  • Builds, designs and develops data warehouse/databases
  • Automates and maintains reports and dashboards
  • Creates and updates technical documentation

  • 0 – 3 years prior experience in the same or similar capacity
  • BS degree in related field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering
  • Previous experience in Oracle and PL/SQL preferred; SAP Crystal Reports and/or Web Intelligence is a plus
  • Previous experience with data visualization suites (Tableau) and other BI platforms preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; including presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong business and technical acumen
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Industry standard certifications are preferred but not required
  • Highly motivated team player
