The Principal Analyst position is a key role within the Marketing Analytics & Data Science team directly supporting the Global Marketing leadership. The Marketing analytics team is on the leading edge of marketing analytics innovation. This role will partner with other key members of the marketing organization to ensure Akamai marketing stakeholders have the data and insights they need to drive better decisions.

Partner with the best

You will be an integral part of Akamais Marketing Operations team reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing Analytics & Data Science. The broader Operations team includes data science, marketing automation, marketing technology, and website implementation. In this highly visible role, you will manage, analyze and simplify the substantial analytics that marketing generates to educate and guide key stakeholders, focused on executive leadership.

As a Principal Business Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Providing Marketing business leaders with insights that will drive actions that optimize performance
• Designing effective and impactful reports/visualizations and effectively communicating with business and executive audiences
• Analyzing complex data and translating into actionable recommendations
• Understanding the marketing strategy/tactics involving new customer acquisition and customer cross sell programs to advise and report key performance metrics
• Supporting the marketing planning process by ensuring that key analytics are incorporated in the development of marketing plans

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• 10 years experience in a marketing insights or analytics role preferably in a B2B environment and a Bachelors degree
• Demonstrate expertise in marketing analytics and insights
• Have excellent communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence others
• Have a proven track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Have intermediate SQL skills (able to aggregate data, join tables, create custom tables)
• Demonstrate ability to use Tableau for ad hoc reporting and analyses
• Be able to create dashboards in Adobe Analytics
