We are a beautiful skilled nursing facility located in Danville, PA. Our 172-bed home offers sub-acute and long-term care with a “we are family” atmosphere. Under ownership of Allaire Health Services, exciting new initiatives are renovations are currently taking place to enhance the quality of sub-acute and-long term care.

Position Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine resident’s needs.
• Bathes, dresses, and undresses residents. Assists residents with bowl and bladder training and/or provides incontinence care. Document intake/output as required.
• Serves and collects food trays and feeds residents requiring help. Is familiar with special diets and dietary restrictions.
• Transports residents or assists residents to walk. Perform restorative nursing programs and ROM exercises as directed by physical therapist or professional nurse.
• Turns and reposition bed-fast residents, alone or with assistance, to prevent bedsores. Uses hoyer lift, soft stretcher and/or transfer belt as directed by physical therapist for professional nurse.
• Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers phone.
• Takes and records temperature, pulse and respiration rates, and food/fluid intake and output, as directed.
• Transport and fill oxygen tanks, transports other equipment as needed.
• Maintains work areas and resident rooms in an orderly fashion.
• Provide postmortem care.
• Maintains universal precautions when working with residents.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Graduate from a state approved CNA training program.
• Prior sub-acute or long term care a plus, but not required.

Requirements:

• Current Pennsylvania Certified Nursing Assistant License
