Job Description

Job Summary: Attend all classes, labs and clinicals for the CNA training program. Endeavor to master the CNA curriculum and pass the State Certification Exam to achieve certification as a Nurse Aide in New York State.

• Fulfill requirements for CNA trainee application process
• Submit completed CNA application to facility
  Attend interview for program
  Pass Prometric Reading Assessment (75% or higher)
  Submit required health documents (MMR, PPD, physical and influenza vaccine & Covid-19)
  Complete fingerprinting and background check
• Successfully complete the CNA program
• Be present and punctual for all classes/labs and clinicals
• Complete homework as assigned
• Notify instructor of difficulties understanding curriculum
• Notify instructor prior to first day of accommodations needed for class, or state certification exam
• Conduct oneself in a responsible and professional manner
• Notify instructor of unavoidable absence or tardiness
  Be respectful of instructor and the learning environment
  Dress appropriately (per policy) for class/labs & clinicals
  Interact cooperatively, respectfully and professionally with Fellow trainees, facility employees, residents and their families
  Notify instructor of personal contact information changes
