Job Description

 Watsonville Nursing Center and Watsonville Post Acute is looking for quality individuals to provide FREE sponsored training to become a CNA. We will cover all costs or the course, materials, and testing.

Next Class starts: Monday, Jan 9, 2023

Interview dates: Monday Dec 5 and Tuesday, Dec 6. Apply online or call our front desk at 831-724-7505 to schedule an interview slot.

We will be selecting 15 total students for the class.

If selected, one year employment at facility required after completion of program. Must be able to PM (3pm - 11:30pm) shift or night (11pm - 7:30am) shift after completion of program.

Must have high school diploma or GED and must have all COVID vaccines. 

Our facilities provide a range of services, including skilled nursing care, short-term rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy services with around the clock care.

Our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s) provide exemplary nursing care to patients and residents within the scope of the nursing assistant responsibilities and perform basic nursing procedures under the direction of our licensed nurse supervisor.

Our CNA’s are empowered to “do the right thing”, make sound independent decisions as they demonstrate patience, initiative and willingness to assist residents.

 

To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Provide direct care to residents to improve or maintain the resident’s abilities according to the resident’s plan of care.
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) – Assist with bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, mobility, transferring, and feeding of assigned residents by providing set-up assistance, verbal prompts, physical support, or more extensive assistance, or who are totally dependent as more.
  • Provide care in a manner that protects and promotes resident rights, dignity, self-determination, and active participation. Offer and respect resident choices in matters of daily routine. Refer to residents by proper names unless resident requests otherwise. Avoid use of all pet names. Handle all residents’ property with respect.
