Sunnyside Care Center is actively seeking Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) ***NEW RATES*** $1000 dollar sign on BONUS

Hourly positions. FTE benefits, every other weekend rotation, Holiday rotation.

Sunnyside Care Center is Onondaga County’s leader in sub-acute and short term rehabilitation. Sunnyside Care Center is an 80 Bed Short Term Sub-Acute Rehabilitation and Long Term Care Facility located in East Syracuse, NY.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Current New York State Nurse Aide Certification that is in good standing on the New York State Nurse Aide Registry
2. A genuine interest in Geriatric resident care
3. Dependability/Reliability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Answer call bells in a timely manner.
2. Treat ALL residents with DIGNITY and RESPECT at ALL times.
3. Assist residents with all aspects of personal care, including, but not limited to: Bed, bath, tub bath, shower, hair care, oral care, peri-anal care, and skin care. Including hearing aids and eye glasses.
4. Practices good body mechanics at all times. Assist residents with positioning, ROM, transferring, ambulation, and lifting. Repositions residents according to their Care Plan.
5. Uses side rails, restraints, and Hoyer lifts (with assistance) appropriately.
6. Serves meal trays, assists with resident feeding and passes nourishments – offers fluids and snacks.
7. Completes documentation of care.
8. Weighs and records weight as directed and notifies the Unit Manager of variations as they occur.
9. Assist with the admission of new residents.
10. Keeps bedside unit and room neat, replaces and labels ALL resident’s personal care supplies when depleted.
14. Transport residents to all destinations as needed – OT/PT, Activities, Dining Room, etc.
15. Follows all established Sunnyside Care Center Policies and Procedures.
16. Attend In-service Education programs. Must attend MANDATORY IN-SERVICES and a minimum of six (6) hours of in-service time every six (6) months (12 credit hours per year).
17. Completes daily assignments as dictated by the resident’s Care Plan.
