Williamson Medical Center is hiring a CT Technologist in Franklin, TN.  This is a full time position working FRI, SAT, SUN 8:00AM- 8:30PM. Job Summary
To provide high quality imaging CT procedures to our patients and physicians in a respectful and efficient manner while providing those services in a safe and clean environment.

Position Requirements
Formal Education / Training:
Earned a Radiologic Technology diploma or degree from a college, university, or hospital-based program. Must be in compliance with CE Requirements.  May be registered in the subspecialty of CT.

Workplace Experience:
Preference of one year work experience in hospital environment working in CT after graduation and accreditation; however, we are willing to train.

Equipment and Skills Training:
Possesses knowledge of CT scanning and preferably have experience working with GE CT equipment.  Will train on specific equipment and processes utilized at Williamson Medical Center.

Physical Environment:
Radiation safety and universal precautions practiced in a multimodality imaging department.

Physical Effort:
Possesses the ability to perform multifunctional tasks to include: physically manipulate and operate
Equipment; assist in the movement of patients from wheelchairs and stretchers to table; bend, twist, stoop; lift 20 pounds; communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing; make appropriate judgement decisions in urgent or emergency situations; and demonstrate emotional stability and psychological health in day to day interaction with fellow workers, patients, their families, and physicians.  Must be willing to take call for STAT, Urgent, or Routine studies after hours and on weekends when needed.


Key Results
1. Checks patient identification and physician order to ensure accuracy of request before proceeding with study.
2. Questions female patients (ages 12-50) regarding the possibility of pregnancy and properly documents information in record.
3. Questions all patients who receive intravenous contrast media and documents information regarding allergies and medical history.
4. Provides proper radiation safety protection for all persons, to include self.
5. Communicates potential or existing problems/opportunities to improve quality of care or services.
6. Strives to maintain the dignity of each patient by ensuring the patient is properly covered at all times.
7. Seeks opportunities to assist in other areas during downtime periods and always makes good use of time.
8. Working environment is clean, organized, well stocked, and free of clutter.
9. Checks often on patients waiting in hallways to ensure that the patient is covered and comfortable (Pain Management).
10. Utilizes good hand washing techniques between patients and properly cleans with disinfectant all equipment.
11. Utilizes “Red Bag” waste containers for appropriate red bag waste and utilizes universal safety precautions at all times.
12. Shows leadership and teamwork in difficult situations and makes appropriate decisions.
13. Implements new departmental procedures readily and without delay.
14. Volunteers for overtime and fill-in when needed.
15. Ensures the safety of patients by following all safety procedures while moving patients from wheelchair or stretcher to table and watching patient while on table.
16. Performs high quality studies consistently.
17. Communicates and follows through with fellow employees to ensure that all requests from physicians and patients are completed.
18. Works well with fellow employees to provide the most efficient use of the equipment; thus enabling the throughput of patients to be faster.
