We have CNA or PCT shifts open for full-time or PRN, day or night, and at our Shreveport and Bossier Campus.

Intensive Specialty Hospital is a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital.  We provide cardiopulmonary care, ventilator and respiratory care, complex wound care, rehabilitation therapies, addiction medicine program, geriatric psychiatry program, multidisciplinary pain program, and outpatient counseling program.  With two locations, Shreveport Campus and Bossier City Campus, we are the largest provider of LTAC services in Northwest Louisiana.

Under the supervision of the Director of Laboratory, the Patient Care Technician is responsible for blood drawing, assessing, processing and distribution of clinical laboratory specimens for testing, which includes sending out to contracted reference laboratories. This position is also responsible for clerical duties associated with the operation of the Laboratory.

Additional Duties Include:

Bathing Patients

Checking Vitals Signs

Feeding Patients

Cleaning/Stocking Supplies

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. State Phlebotomist Certificate required

2. High School graduate or equivalent experience required

3. One year of College with emphasis in biology preferred

4. Completion of one year of Laboratory internship or accumulative experience of two years under direction of an accredited program

5. Basic computer experience - Microsoft word, excel

6. Must be able to read, write, and speak English

7. Meditech LIS/HIS experience preferred

8. Must have Hospital Clinical Laboratory Experience.

 

CERTIFICATIONS:

CPR Certification

ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

C N A, DSW or Patient Care Technician Certification preferred but not required

ASCP Certification

Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners State License
