Job Description

The CNA is responsible for providing residents with the highest quality of direct routine care in all activities of daily living, under the supervision of the LPN or RN and in accordance with the Nursing Assistant Program standards, the Resident's Bill of Rights and the facility Quality Assurance and Improvement (QAPI) program. According to the Plan of Care for the resident, CNAs apply skills in basic nursing, personal care and basic restorative services while understanding the mental health and social service needs of the resident and being mindful of the needs in cognitively impaired residents. The CNA is part of the interdisciplinary care team that is dedicated to promoting independence, autonomous decision-making and facilities residents to achieve and maintain the highest practicable physical mental and psychosocial well-being.

Qualifications:

• Completion of state approved Nursing Assistant Program for the state in which the facility operates
• Current certification and listing on the state Registry

Preferred:

• Experience in skilled nursing and/or assisted living community

• High emotional intelligence (EQ)
• Ability to actively listen, with the goal of understanding
• Ability to clearly speak and proficiently read, write, and understand English

Shifts Available:

• We are looking to fill for evening shift immediately (2:30PM-10:30PM)
• Weekends- working every other weekend is mandatory
• Holidays
• PRN- must be available to work at least one weekend/month

*We offer a pay addition of $1 towards your base pay for working evening shifts, and $2 additional for working night shifts.*

All qualified CNAs will receive a sign-on bonus after 90 days of continuous employment.

• Ability to communicate in English via phone, in writing, and verbally in conversation with different levels of Staff, patient families, and any outside customers.
• Lifting Weight/ Exerting Force: Frequently throughout the day will lift or exert force up to 50lbs; Occasionally up to 100lbs.
• Standing and Walking: Frequently needed throughout the day (ability to be mobile around the facility throughout the day)
• Sitting: Frequently sits throughout the day
• Using Hands: Constantly uses hands throughout the day
• Climbing and/or Balancing: Rarely needs to climb or balance
• Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, Crawl: Occasionally needs to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

• Hearing: Constantly needs to hear and listen throughout the day

Vision:

This position requires the ability to use close-, distance-, peripheral-vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
