Job Description

Gainesville Health & Rehabilitation Center is a 120-bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Gainsville, FL.  We are looking for compassionate caregivers to help our residents live their lives to the fullest.  Within our organization we believe that our residents don’t live in our workplace, we work in their home.  If you are looking to join a team of passionate and dedicated caregivers, we would LOVE to have you!

We are currently seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our team of caregivers.  New graduates are encouraged to apply!

What you bring to our team:

·        Active Florida CNA license

·        New Graduates:  Must take and pass the CNA license exam within 120 days of employment to remain an employee of Gainesville Health & Rehabilitation Center

·         Current/active CPR certification preferred

·        Effective verbal and written English communication skills

·        Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality

·        Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure

·        Problem solving skills

·        Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change

As a CNA, you will provide care to our residents to include but not limited to:

·        Provide personal care (grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) of residents

·        Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics

·        Routinely turn and position residents as necessary

·        Observe residents carefully and report changes in condition to Charge Nurse

·        Participate in collecting accurate date on residents to include vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information as assigned

·        Other duties as assigned
