The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and is resposible for providing resident care to assigned residents in accordance with resident assessments, care plans, and as directed by nursing management. The CNA position is central to the provision of resident care. The CNA works with other licensed care staff to coordinate the proper types of care to residents and strictly follows all company nursing policies as well as safety guidelines.

  • Per Diem (Nights)
  • Full Time (Nights)

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Assist with daily living activities. This includes delivering meals to patients, turning and ambulating patients and providing plenty of fresh water, as well as extra nourishment between meals
  • Help patients with personal hygiene.
  • Provide patients with bedpans, help with baths, shampoos and showers.
  • Provide adjunct care for the patient, including ice packs, non-sterile dressings and therapeutic baths.
  • Check vital signs and record daily information in the patient’s chart.
  • Assist the nurses and other staff as needed.
  • Adhere to professional standards, follow the policies and procedures and abide by federal, state and local requirements.
  • Observe patients’ conditions, measuring and recording food and liquid intake and output and vital signs, and report changes to the charge/staff nurse as soon as possible.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to successfully pass NABS Fingerprint Background Screening and Drug Test
  • Active, Non-Probationary Nevada CNA License
  • Active BLS Certification
  • Ability to Move/Lift A Minimum of 50 Pounds
  • Ability to Speak, Read, and Write English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One Year CNA Experience 
  • One Year Skilled Nursing Facility Experience
