Essential Functions

Our CENAs play a critical role in providing superior customer service and nursing care to all residents. The CENA safeguards the health, safety, and welfare of all residents under their care. Among other tasks, CENAs will:

• Provide quality nursing care to Hastings Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, and freedom of choice;
• Provide individualized attention to each resident and encourage each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being;
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. Attend to individual needs of all residents regarding incontinent care, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication and other needs;
• Be knowledgeable of individual care plans and support the care planning process by reporting specific information and observations of residents’ needs;
• Complete medical records documenting care provided and other information while maintaining strict confidentiality; and
• Promptly and courteously respond to call lights.
