TITLE: Clinical Pharmacist (100K +)
LOCATION: Wichita, KS

SUMMARY:
The pharmacist ensures the safe and effective use of medications by providing medication order verification while assessing for optimal drug product selection, dosage regimen design, effective administration, and drug therapy monitoring services.
Monitors impatient and outpatient drug therapies when appropriate and works with relating medical staff to find alternatives when needed, to ensure the best care possible is being given.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Review and assess all medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug-related problems
-Communicate with medical staff as necessary to facilitate appropriate patient care
-Compound and dispense medications accurately for patient use, including sterile, chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition products
-Complete pharmacokinetic consultations for medication dosing
-Monitor drug therapy care plans for safety and efficacy
-Provides clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners; suggests appropriate, cost-effective therapeutic alternatives to medical staff.
-Provide medication education to patients/family as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy.
Must be a registered pharmacist and licensed in the state of Kansas or able to obtain.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular LIfe Support (ACLS) required OR must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
Facility is under 100 beds and not for profit.
Wants someone with acute hospital experience.
Pharmacist works 4 days a week. Hours of the pharmacy are 7am-6pm and will rotate weekends/holidays(every 3rd-4th) and the hours are 7am-12noon roughly and share in on call.
Great work environment and be part of a team of 3 Pharmacist and 3 Techs in the department.
The facility is offering a salary range between 100K-125K depending on experience. They also offer a great benefit package and will help with relocation.
