    Full-Time, Exempt

    This position will lead a team of engineers and will have responsibility for the research, design, implementation, and day-to-day operations of the physical and virtual computing infrastructure regardless of location (i.e., on-prem, Azure, AWS, etc.) The Leader will participate in a variety of activities, including researching emerging technologies, defining requirements; assessing server, storage, and infrastructure sizing; analyzing hardware and virtual configurations to meet application requirements; and designing load balancing and clustering solutions. Additionally, this includes the placement of all the physical equipment such as servers, storage devices and required cabling. Provide leadership in support of troubleshoot problems in the environment. They are required to prepare architectural design documentation, including diagrams and inventories.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage the overall design of MVP's corporate enterprise server, storage environment.
  • Work closely with MVP staff understanding requirements to aid in developing infrastructure designs and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with staff, users and senior management on establishing business goals.
  • Review new and existing IT projects, systems design and plans for sever and compute requirements.
  • Conducting research on emerging technologies to support changes in the infrastructure; both on-prem and in the cloud.
  • Manage the planning, testing, and plans for hardware/software changes to the environment.
  • Mentor all subordinate staff in defining requirements; assessing server, storage, workstation, network and infrastructure sizing; analyzing hardware and virtual configurations.
  • Mange the overall design of system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
  • Be responsible for system maintenance of network/server/storage/internet/intranet hardware.

  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    • Ability to lead, guide and direct multiple priorities and staff to successfully deliver on MVP initiatives and goals.
    • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments
    • Deep understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
    • Deep understanding of product management, agile principles and development methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
    • Experience working in a Healthcare industry is helpful, but not required.
    • Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps
    • Experience delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences

    Minimum Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience

    Minimum Experience:
    • 5+ years' experience in enterprise infrastructure technologies.
    • 3+ years' of management experience.

    Skills:
    • Up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft products, Azure and AWS.
    • Ability to gain an understanding of customer process and issues, and communicate them back
    • Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including cloud, unified communications, telecommunications, networks, programming, media, and desktops.
    • Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems.
    • Technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development, and user support.
      • Ability to gain an understanding of customer process and issues, and communicate them back
      • Ability to work in teams and individually when needed
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Experience working with global teams on projects and offshore teams to facilitate project work
      • Demonstrated excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form
      • Advanced skills and experience in application lifecycle management, agile development methods and software planning
      • Strategic thinker about business issues across product areas and industries
      • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion effectively
      • Monitor, mentor, and lead teams to overcome roadblocks and challenges and implement coordination.
