In a Licensed Nurse Co-Managing Partner we are looking for a confident person who is the face of the community and of our Company and Brand. Someone akin to be the leader of the band who stands out from the crowd and their peers, an expert healthcare professional, a person of fine distinction and discriminating taste for our luxury brand, and a professional executive leader who is as comfortable reviewing management performance reports in the Boardroom with the CEO and Co-Managing Partner as they are conducting excursions and outings in our shuttle trips to local attractions and events with aging adults and those who are differently abled. Working Conditions
- Full time – plus hours
- Monday-Friday (available Saturday and Sunday)
- Hours will vary day to day
Purpose
- Plans, coordinates, and provides total nursing care for Community Members and provides supervision and guidance to clinical staff members. Scope of work may be modified by state specific rules under the Nurse Practice Act.. Being able to uphold the standards of the Vista Springs mission at all times.
Experience:
- Three – five years’ experience in nursing preferred.
- Health care services to residents with dementia, preferred
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate of accredited RN/LPN school of nursing.
Licenses/Certification (REQUIRED):
- Valid RN/LPN license in the State of Michigan.
- Valid CPR certification.
Essential Functions:
- Supports the philosophy, mission, commitment, vision and values of Vista Springs
- Initiates and leads team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
- Assesses and documents the Community Member’s condition and nursing needs.
- Accurately and promptly implements physicians’ orders.
- Assigns nursing care to team members in accordance with the Community Member’s needs and the person’s capabilities and qualifications.
- Supervises and evaluates direct care workers in assisted living and certified dementia practitioners in Alzheimer’s/Dementia specialized care.
- Administers medications, performs treatments for assigned Community Members, and documents that treatment as required by Vista Springs, and local, state and federal rules and regulations.
- Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
- Assists physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
- Ensures that supplies are utilized economically and that equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner.
- Reports and records pertinent observations and reactions regarding Community Members.
- Coordinates nursing care of Community Members when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
- Supervises nursing unit, which includes overseeing scheduling and directing the nursing staff.
- Assures that inventory and supplies are maintained on the unit and communicates need for housekeeping, maintenance or dietary assistance.
- Promotes interpersonal relationships and develops staff morale.
- Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in Community Members.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of Vista Springs, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws and applicable professional standards.
- Assesses and documents the Community Member’s condition and nursing needs.
- Manager on Duty (MOD) Rotation.

- In charge of all staff in the facility. Work daily with the department heads
Educational Requirements
- Graduate of accredited RN/LPN school of nursing.
Certificates, licenses, registrations
- First aid and CPR requirements.
- LPN/RN License Required
Work Experience
- Five years of management skills required. Have prior experience working in an assisted living environment as well as had some geriatrics, dementia and Alzheimer’s training.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret state documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with one-on-one or in groups such as customers, vendors, staff, residents and family members. Must be able to speak, read and write basic English skills.
Physical Demands
Lift up to 50 lbs. required to assist with such things as: occasional resident care, moving of office equipment, furniture needs, etc. Some traveling and walking are required on a day –to day basis.
