SHIFT
CHE - Shift 1 ($0) (United States of America - Michigan)A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Co-op, Manufacturing Engineer, will be eager to learn and contribute to assessing opportunities for improvement throughout the manufacturing process, implementing solutions, and gather experience relevant to their field of study.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide support to Engineers, Programmers, and Engineer Technicians to learn manufacturing processes and assist with projects as assigned.
- Perform routine aspects of manufacturing engineering, requiring knowledge and application of principles learned in the course of study.
- Assist with creating and/or modifying work procedures, processes, and/or specifications.
- Assist with the coordination of projects from conception through final plan preparations.
- Programming of equipment such as lasers, engravers and robots
- Participate in identifying opportunities to decrease non value-added time on the manufacturing floor.
- Support quality and compliance by utilizing One Orchid global processes and complying with all Quality Management Systems (QMS) documentation requirements and establishing/supporting plan(s) to meet/exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Quality that support Safety, Compliance, Six Sigma Quality, On-Time Delivery (OTD) and financial objectives.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrollment in a Degree Program (Required)
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ Year of Prior Relevant Experience (Preferred)
