Job Description

My client is looking to add a hands-on CFO/Controller to their growing organization. Position is Hybrid (1-3 days in office per MONTH). Track to CFO!!!


Job Description

You will need to be a dependable, hands on, detail-oriented individual. In addition to the responsibility for all day to day accounting activities/process, this individual will also be responsible for other administrative responsibilities.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Hands on Management of all day-to-day accounting, inventory, invoicing, A/R, and A/P functions, credit/collections.
  • Manage cash needs, projections and reporting, Daily balance cash reporting with multiple bank accounts.
  • Monthly financial reporting including income statement, balance sheet, gross profit reports, actual vs. budget reports, capital spending and analysis reporting.
  • Manage and oversee external financial audits. Provide Audit firm with all required reports, documentation, reconciliations, etc. to complete the year end audit review.
  • Manage 1099 reporting to vendors and IRS.
  • Manage insurance providers.
  • Manage all state registrations and reporting including sales/use tax, business licenses, and audits.
  • Hands-on knowledge of ERP systems. (Peachtree preferred).
  • Excellent EXCEL skills.
  • Manage Human Resources department


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • CPA and/or Masters degree (preferred)
  • Accounting: 5+ years required
  • Accounting Manager/Controller role: 3 years required
  • Accounting for Federal Government Contracting, knowledge of FAR, GSA schedules, etc. is a plus.
