Director of Accounting

DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING - Family Office - Fun environment that also offers a great work/life balance!

This is an ideal position for a Director of Accounting (or Controller or Assistant Controller) with a combination of public accounting and industry experience.

It is also a unique opportunity for someone coming directly out of public accounting at the manager level. We will consider a manager coming out of any of the practice lines (audit, accounting services or tax). Any exposure to high net worth clients or family offices is a plus.

This position affords the selected candidate the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of accounting!

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FAMILY OFFICE DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING:

• Ensure that all financial transactions for the family entities are properly recorded
• Full cycle accounting for the family entities - individuals, investment entities (LLC partnerships), trusts and foundations
• Ensure that the portfolio tracking and investment accounting is accurate
• Ensure that all transactional entries are properly supported
• Monitor and report on cash balances
• Work closely with the outside tax accountants and other consultants
• Support family meetings with reports and presentations as required
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as required
