Purpose (e.g., key reason why the organization requires this role, why the role exists):
This position is responsible for the shipping/receiving of products & materials throughout the plant. Plant Shippers are certified and capable of working in any of several production or shipping areas – Hard Resins Shipping, Refinery Shipping, OFC Shipping, CTO Handling, etc. They are also available to assist shift shipping operations as needed.
Experience (e.g., knowledge, education, skills, years of experience required to perform the role competently, etc. Do not list personal background only):
Knowledge: An understanding of SAP and Excel, plant processes, shipping/receiving processes, and production flow for all areas. Also have an understanding of process control information as it relates to managing raw materials and finished goods.
Education: Degree Level(s)
High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills/Abilities: must have strong written and oral communication, computer knowledge, planning and scheduling efficiencies, knowledge of plant shipping
Other job requirements: Certified forklift operator, DOT/Hazmat certified, Weigh master certified, may be required to participate in Plant Respiratory Program
Work Experience:
1 year plant experience
