Delivery Driver

FULL-TIME

$29.30/hr, plus $2000 new hire bonus, see details below

The primary function of this position is to drive a Bobtail and/or straight truck on intrastate routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading various wine, spirits, beer and non-alcoholic beverage products to distribution centers, restaurants, supermarkets and other foodservice outlets, in a timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations, observing all safety regulations, ensuring all quality standards are met and safe, courteous and professional behavior is observed in all situations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reading production schedule, customer order, work order, or shipping order, to determining items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conducting mandatory pre-trip and post-trip inspections and completing checklist; checks for any vehicle damage; checks load and ensures stability of vehicle load to avoid product damage.
• Responsible for the safe and legal operation of delivery equipment in accordance with the company safety policies and operating procedures (including obeying all traffic regulations) and state and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Driving vehicle to deliver items to assigned customer's place of business in a timely manner.
• Unloading product from vehicle safely and places it in customer’s establishment where directed.
• Recording sales or deliveries information on daily delivery records.
• Collecting or picking up empty containers or rejected or specified merchandise.
• Providing person-to-person customer service during all deliveries; listening to and helping resolve customer complaints; referring billing issues to Customer Service department; representing the Company with courtesy to customers and while driving; phones in shortages and requests for next day deliveries.
• Obtaining customer signature on invoice for pickup or delivery and collects payment in full as part of COD state regulation.
• Cleaning inside of truck.
• Obeying all safety rules, maintaining clean work area and immediately reporting accidents to supervisor.
