The Design Engineer will be responsible for the activities related to Power Electronics components (inverters, converters, chargers, power semiconductor devices, DC Laminated Bus, and DC Link Capacitors) specific to the Electrified Vehicle application. This position entails working with power electronics suppliers to ensure corporate requirements and specifications, as well as industry best practice design features and processes, are implemented for manufacturing, assembly, reliability, etc.

This position involves the evaluation, simulation and testing of supplier's component design, to ensure the compatibility with the STLA requirement. This position plays a major role in the functional specification of electronic components in the source package and is involved actively during the development phase of the vehicle as a hardware technical expert of the component.

Additionally, this position will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of documentation outlining best practices supporting STLA internal continuous improvement initiatives and the development of product technology roadmaps.
