Summary of Position

Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President, the Development Associate is responsible for logistics for the Foundation s two major fundraising events. Works with vendors, volunteers, Medical Center and Foundation team members and community partners. Manages the Employee Campaign.

Major Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning and executing logistics and fundraising for the Foundation events to achieve event-based budget, donor and attendee goals.
• Responsible for committee management, timetables and action plans, printed materials, correspondence, event setup and achievement of event-related revenue goals.
• Develop and manage a portfolio of individuals and corporations.
• Conduct thorough and appropriate follow up with all activities related to this position.
• Along with the AVP, develop donor tours that align with donor interests and Medical Center funding priorities.
• Work with the AVP to create a Grateful Patient Program throughout the Medical Center.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree required.
• Three (3) years progressive experience in a fundraising Foundation or department, preferably in a hospital or higher education setting.

• Excellent writing skills; commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.

• Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments and meet deadlines.
• High level of energy, initiative and creativity. Self-motivated, outgoing, creative and results-oriented.
• Knowledge of Raisers Edge and NXT preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft software applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
