Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Connected Health Care has an immediate opening for a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join a great team and rural hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa. If you are a dedicated and experience sonographer looking for a new opportunity, this could be for you!
 

JOB DETAILS:

• Sonographer will use two-dimensional high frequency sound waves to create diagnostic images of the human body.
• Sonographer will work with physicians by reading sonographs and making diagnostic judgements from test results.
• Experience with both OB and hospital side work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Explains procedures to patients and assists patients in positioning for tests.
• Determines test procedures and purpose of examination.
• Makes equipment adjustments according to the nature of the test, depth of the field, etc.
• Enters test data and patient information.
• Records diagnostic data.
• Produces permanent record of test results.
• Checks equipment on regular basis.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a graduate of approved course in medical sonography.
• Clinical experience to be eligible for registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
• Completion of exam with ARDMS preferred.
