We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and detailed-oriented marketing professional with experience in driving the marketing efforts for hotels or resorts to join our team as our (first!) Marketing Manager. The individual will execute effective, marketing initiatives for the resort. They will work with strategic partners to create and execute global marketing/advertising strategies, drive results, make compelling updates to the property’s website, coordinate creation of collateral, create and execute robust social media strategies, and coordinate initiatives for on-resort and local programming.

In addition, they will often celebrate success with an extraordinary revenue-driving team of sales, catering, events and membership colleagues!

What you will have an opportunity to do:

The digital marketing manager will be responsible for supporting Margaritaville Lake Conroe’s various sales teams by creating and distributing valuable, relevant and consistent on-brand content to attract and retain a clearly defined audience – and ultimately, to drive profitable customer action.  This individual will be responsible for the strategic management of both online and offline marketing content.
 

The Digital Marketing Manager will execute marketing activities for the property as instructed by the Director of Marketing and the Vice President of Sales and Marketing; including: create and execute on-brand e-marketing campaigns, making changes to the properties two websites, manage the property's digital marketing agency, and collaborate with our online gift card partner, eGritify.  This person will also coordinate marketing initiatives and collateral needs with the department heads to support sales and media events.

Your Role:

  • Assist the Content Marketing Manager with maintaining the property’s two websites via two different CMS Platforms by collaborating with the sales department heads to ensure their information on both websites is accurate, relevant and timely.
  • Assist the Content Marketing Manager with marketing our various leisure guest activities & events by building out online and offline promotional pieces
  • Oversee the resort’s sales e-marketing platform by creating and scheduling on-brand e-mail campaigns for our sales teams and strategically selecting the best audience based on the topic and goal of the campaign
  • Manager the resort’s digital marketing agency by consistently updating our partner on the latest priorities and revenue objectives for all business units on property, as well as continually assess ROI on our various paid media channels
  • Collaborate with the resort’s gift card partner to create seasonal promotions to support the sale of online gift cards
  • Provide sales and media event support by assisting with the pre-communication, invitations / RSVPs for a variety of sales and catering events.
  • Develop and order effective, on-brand collateral by working with the resort’s sales department heads to create and design a variety of tangible assets for a wide range of target audiences
  • Facilitate the tracking and reporting of all marketing expenditures, by working within an allotted budget

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a hotel with a convention / conference center, preferably in a sales or marketing role
  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent (Communication/Marketing/Advertising/Graphic Design preferred)
  • Basic Graphic Design experience a must  (Photoshop, InDesign, Canva  etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing (PPC, DRM, Social Ads, SEO, etc.) is required for this role
  • Prior working knowledge of using and maintaining a website’s CMS is preferred
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is a must, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Publisher
  • Must be comfortable working in a digital environment, as this position requires a large amount of time spent on the computer
  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent communication and written grammar skills, to communicate with the public as well as your team members
  • Essential statistical and analytical skills required to identify revenue opportunities and shortfalls.
  • Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to achieve goals.
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-tasked and fast-paced environment.
