Job Description 

Derived from our overall Brand guidelines, the Director of Design will be responsible for creating the enterprise design language that will be used to create the best in class aesthetics for our customers.

The incumbent will also be responsible for developing, maintaining, and socializing the design language around the organization using data and research backed decisions.  Successful candidates will be comfortable with technology, design thinking, design principles and presenting to executive stakeholders. 

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve on enterprise digital design language for Mobile App and Web for entire customer lifecycle from Acquisitions to Collections
  • Champion a User Centered Design, user experience, user research, usability, design thinking, and a Mobile first mindset across the enterprise
  • Lead large team of design SMEs & strategists to create product experiences using data backed insights and user research
  • Create governance, guidelines and standards framework for design language usage across all product workstreams
  • Manage external and internal agency relationships including new work, prioritization of existing work, creative feedback, and day-to-day agency management
  • Partner with Business Technology teams to create, maintain and continuously improve on enterprise repository for front end design components
  • Actively evangelize design best practices through industry trends and user research throughout the entire customer experience for all products
  • Partner with business teams and initiative owners to understand vision, goals and success metrics for products and create best in class design and user experience
  • Proactively determine iterative user experience enhancements and socialize with product teams for prioritization

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Integrated Design, Product Design or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in digital design and development, customer experience, and/or customer research, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

If we had our say, we’d also look for:

  • M.S. in Human Computer Interaction, Psychology or other advanced degree
  • Proficiency in Power Point with exceptional presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Sketch, Figma, Zepelin
