DIRECTOR & HEAD OF PLANNING
Position Summary:
Love Wellness is seeking an experienced Planner to lead sales, demand and supply planning. This person will ensure that Love Wellness delivers the optimal consumer experience by ensuring the right product quantities are in the right places at the right times. The ideal candidate will be an analytical business manager with experience working with retail partners and translating sales projections into operational demand/supply plans. Reports directly to SVP, Sales & Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead sales planning across DTC, Amazon and retail/wholesale accounts
- Create short-, medium- and long-term forecasts at the SKU level for existing products and new launches, by channel. Ensure marketing plans, business strategies, category trends and promotional cadence are integrated into forecasts.
- Partner with retailers to understand and align on their forecasts (existing & newness); ensure brand priorities are reflected in retailer plans.
- Manage build orders for incremental programs (e.g., secondary placements, exclusive sets, etc.); ensure integration into sales and demand plan
- Review weekly orders to ensure coverage and minimize OOS for launches and basic business
- Make recommendations to optimize assortment and productivity overall and by channel/retailer
Own and manage the brand’s demand and supply plan
- Own demand planning including forecasting, assembly, CPFR process, clear-to-build, inventory management
- Manage end-to-end supply plan in partnership with Supply Chain: finished goods, componentry/raw materials, collateral, and supplies
- Monitor and manage inventory level/WOS at 3PL and in trade
- Optimize inventory metrics in partnership with Supply Chain across all channels/retailers: service level, OOS, fill rate. Drive continual improvement across above KPI’s
- Use data to recommend future POs and as key input into demand plan
- Review and monitor alignment between demand plan and financial estimates
- Manage phase-ins, phase-outs, discos, and returns to minimize excess and destructions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years experience in financial planning, forecasting, merchandising, supply chain, or similar
- Experience managing omnichannel businesses including DTC; subscriptions-based businesses a plus but not required
- Exceptional analytical skills; highly organized and structured
- Must be detail-oriented
- Ability to structure, analyze and manipulate data to extract insights
- In depth understanding of forecasting and supply planning; robust financial acumen
- Must be based in NYC
