GardaWorld, the world’s largest privately held security provider is looking for an ambitious, talented & motivated individual to lead our finance team in Minneapolis, MN as we pursue an aggressive growth strategy at our subsidiary, BEST Crowd Management. As Director of Finance, and reporting to the VP of Finance in St. Louis with a dotted-line reporting to the Vice President of BEST Crowd Management, she/he will plan and direct the financial strategy of the company. We expect this individual to play an instrumental role in supporting the operation to create more value. We are looking for a driven individual who comes from a fast paced/ high growth, performance driven organization who has worked closely with key performance indicators (KPI’s). Hands-on, flexible but a true leader, the selected individual has the drive, the integrity, and the experience to be part of a winning team.

Essential Functions

  • Ownership of all accounting functions of the Business unit and a strategic partner to the Business Unit leader including accounting, billing, accounts receivable, payroll, and cost control.
  • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over financial transactions to minimize risk.
  • Under the direction of Corporate Finance/Accounting in St. Louis, responsible for the preparation, analysis, and reporting of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
  • Develops and implements monthly KPIs for the Business Unit.
  • Identifies and implements strategic opportunities for financial improvement.
  • Produces the annual budget; reports significant budget differences to management.
  • Prepares and updates a monthly/annual forecast. Provides analysis as to the variances to actual performance.
  • Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on expense control and profitability by job. Identifies and implements performance opportunities in partnership with Business unit leaders.
  • Analyzes operations through KPI’s to improve profitability and identify areas in need of process improvement.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
  • Certified Public Accountant required.
  • Five or more years of experience in a managerial role required.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, salaried, exempt position under the FLSA executive exemption. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require long hours and weekend work.

Travel

Travel expectations vary and some may include out-of-area and overnight.
