The Will County Center for Economic Development (CED) is seeking applications for the position of Director of Investor Relations.

Job Description

Reports To: CEO

The Director of Investor Relations leads the Investor Relations program and is responsible for raising private and public sector money to fund the CED’s program of work.  The Director will work to identify, attract, and retain private corporations and local units of government as Investors in the CED.

The Director is responsible for managing the CED’s Investor Relations Program through a variety of activities, including:

• Develop and implement the Annual Investor Relations Program with specific Investor outreach, engagement, and revenue goals identified.
• Work with existing Investors to secure their ongoing financial commitment.
• Research and recruit new Investors to broaden and diversify the base of support for the CED.
• Develop internal and external communications and sales tools related to the Investor Relations Program.
• Leverage technology and social media where possible to improve Investor engagement and relations.
•  Prepare and deliver Investor Relations Reports to the CED Investor Relations Committee, the CED Executive Committee and the CED Board of Directors.
• Represent the CED at local, County, and regional business and government functions and events promoting the CED’s mission, programs and services, and story.
• Work with other CED staff to organize, manage, and market CED events and programs to promote the CED throughout the region for purposes of advancing the CED’s financial success.
• Collaborate with the CEO and the Director of Economic Development to develop the annual Program of Work and Budget presented to the Board of Directors for approval.
• Collaborate with other organizations to build partnerships and enhance fundraising activities.
• Serve as staff liaison to and manage the activities of the Investor Relations Committee.
• Other job-related duties or tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of economic/community development, sales/marketing, or fundraising experience in the public, non-profit, or private sector preferred.
• Motivated self-starter.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including experience in the development and the delivery of presentations.
• Ability to prepare compelling marketing and outreach materials.
• A high level of computer literacy.
• Proven ability to engage confidently with high level corporate, political, and community leaders.
• Ability to travel throughout the Chicago region to make Investor appointments and presentations. Some out of state travel may be required.

Compensation:

The expected hiring range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience
