DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate, and direct the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility, participate in developing, maintaining, and updating our written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department.
• Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the Facility’s quality assurance program for the Nursing Department.
• Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator.
• Make daily rounds of the Nursing Department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
• Review complaints and grievances made or filed by department personnel and ensure appropriate reports are made.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess a current license and registration as a Registered Nurse in New Jersey
• A minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing in Long Term Care with managerial experience
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• COVID-19 vaccination is required
