Summary of responsibilities:

To assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility.  Maintain goals and objectives for quality resident care consistent with facility and corporate goals and objectives. Coordinates services effecting resident care, working with other department and health care team members to provide the best quality resident care through involvement in patient care planning. Completes wound rounds as assigned with recommendations of care. 

Counsel personnel as requested or advised following necessary policy & procedures. Assists in the recruitment, interviewing, selection and onboarding pre-employment process for department personnel.

  • Oversight and serve as a resource to the direct care staff
  • Support to the DON and RN Supervisors with staffing and activities as assigned
  • Direct patient care when necessary and/or assigned
  • How to be a successful candidate:
    • Have at least 2 years of experience working in a Long-Term Care or Rehabilitative facility
    • Have at least 2 years supervisory experience strongly encouraged
    • Have excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Have excellent computer skills
    • Embrace our person-centered care approach to meet each resident's needs and preferences

Qualifications

Must have an active RN license in the state of PA.

Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a long-term care or physical rehab setting, preferred
