Are you a skilled nursing leader looking for new opportunities? Connected Health Care is looking for a seasoned Nursing professional for a Director of Acute Services role at a critical access hospital near Yakima, WA

The Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the ICU-IMCU/ Med-Surg/ Joint & Spine/ Infusion departments.  This position also has a dotted line with the nursing staff on the Inpatient Rehab unit. Establishes policies, procedures, standards, and objectives. Directs and supervise staff, provides leadership, direction, and administration of all aspects of Lourdes Health activities to ensure compliance. With the assistance of the CNO maintains and implements nursing procedures that reflect best practices and regulatory requirements. Manages productivity, hiring, directing, supervising, training, and evaluation of the clinical staff. Function as a house supervisor as needed.  A critical attribute required of this position is exceptional interpersonal customer services consisting of an outgoing positive attitude, warm friendly joyful demeanor, and the utmost care and reverence for our guests, patients, families, customers and colleagues.

?ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES

@R=at risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens

1.       Facilitate Excellence in Customer Service both internally and externally

2.       Analyzes problems and develops solutions using appropriate problem solving techniques.

3.       Serves as a clinical role model for all staff.

4.       Assure compliance with regulatory agency requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

  • Oversee the operational, personnel and fiscal management of assigned areas of responsibility with an emphasis on high quality, cost effective patient care .
  • Monitor daily productivity, addressing variance from established standards and adjust staffing to maintain established productive standard.
  • Establish annual unit-specific quality improvement goals, conduct monitoring, analysis, process changes, reporting and re-evaluation of prepared goals to Nursing Quality Council and Clinic Quality Council.
  • Investigate adverse events, review data and findings, assessing for trends, acting on self-remediation needs and identify opportunities for development.
  • Collaborate with non-nursing departments to establish processes and address issues which enhance the provision of patient care and satisfaction.
  • Five to eight years of progressive nursing management experience required.
  • Three to five years progressive nursing management experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION – Masters degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE - A minimum of 5 years experience required

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Registered Nurse (RN)

BLS, ACLS, CRP Required
