Job Description:
Director Pharmacy

Provides leadership, direction and administrative oversight for the operations and strategic direction of the pharmacy operations.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

(Essential job requirements listed in bold)
  • Working knowledge of but not limited to: label maker, unit-dose packaging machine, heat-sealer for single unit dose packaging, cassette drawers, automated dispensing system and vertical/horizontal intravenous hoods
  • Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position
  • Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment
  • Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally & with the public
  • Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates strong financial management and organizational skills and proven leadership ability
  • Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES

  • Current Oregon Pharmacist licensure
  • Board mandated PIC training
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Pharm D preferred
  • Master of Science in Health Care Administration or related field preferred
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program preferred


EXPERIENCE

  • Five years of clinical experience
  • Three years of supervisory experience in an acute care Pharmacy setting required
