Who are we?

Come lead the Sales and Marketing team for two beautiful beach front properties, the Bellwether Beach Resort and the Beachcomber Hotel as well as two popular beach bars and an award-winning rooftop restaurant! Help travelers discover a new travel destination that breaks away from a traditional beach resort vibe. Instead, they will uncover a setting that brings to life a vintage spirit in a coastal location. The properties offer stunning beauty and are just steps from the award-winning St. Pete Beach. The Director of Sales and Marketing will have the opportunity to use their creativity and drive to build marketing campaigns through their advanced knowledge of paid digital campaign development and management, social media, email campaigns, as well as on property guest communications.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical individual with experience in driving the Sales and Marketing efforts for independent hotels or resorts to join our team as Director of Sales and Marketing. The individual will execute marketing & sales activities for two properties. They will work with strategic partners to create and execute global marketing/advertising strategies, make updates to the property’s website, coordinate creation of sales and on-property collateral, create, and execute robust social media strategy, and coordinate initiatives for on-property and local programming.  They will create and implement sales and marketing programs and strategies for the travel industry and catering and wedding market to generate property revenue.

If you have a proven track record of leading the Marketing and Sales efforts for an independent hotel or resort, are creative in how you approach marketing, and a problem solver, we want you!

Your Role:

  • Develop and Drive the strategic focus on creation and distribution of exceptional marketing plans
  • Drive local engagement/traffic for two popular beach bars and an award-winning rooftop restaurant.
  • Drive the online advertising strategy utilizing strategic partners to achieve growth in website traffic, bookings, and conversion
  • Drive digital channel direction through data analysis to deliver ROI 
  • Drive the creation of on-property promotions and programming while working with applicable departments to implement
  • Lead the sales efforts at one of the top wedding locations on St. Pete Beach.
  • Guide and develop sales activities to achieve budgeted goals.
  • Drive social media strategy to generate online following, including identifying power bloggers, creation and maintenance of a blog editorial calendar, and growth of all Facebook, Instagram and future social media accounts
  • Drive the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of content for all content management systems (CMS): website, mobile app, in-room TV, public space display monitors, digital signage and related content.
  • Work closely with the Public Relations team to coordinate PR related to special events
  • Stays abreast of industry trends that the hotel can capitalize on
  • Develop and implement all sales and marketing strategies associated with the Consortia, Wholesale, Leisure and Business Travel Market.
  • Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and to establish a leadership position in the market
  • Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts, including meeting clients, hosting luncheons and receptions, and meeting with on-site contacts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Plan and participate in Sales trips and industry related meetings as appropriate to the assigned markets/territories.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting plan
  • Negotiate with clients and achieves maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying clients' needs
  • Enhance the hotel's community's image by actively participating in associations, events, clubs, and boards

What are we looking for?

  • 5+ years Marketing experience for an independent hotel/resort is a must
  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent
  • SalesForce (Delphi) experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with the public as well as other team members.
  • Essential statistical and analytical skills required to identify revenue opportunities and shortfalls.
  • Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to achieve goals.
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-tasked and fast-paced environment.
  • Someone with the availability to work when the events are happening, i.e. weekends, nights and holidays
