Distribution Center Associate

FULL-TIME

$19.50/hr

We are hiring immediately for Distribution Center warehouse team members in our Spanaway facility!

Distribution Center warehouse associates are on the front lines of ensuring Ashley Furniture’s spot as the largest furniture retailer and manufacturer in the world! • Pay range $18.50 to $21.50 hour (depending on department and schedule)
• Incredible full time earning potential with overtime availability
• 1st shift = 5.00AM – 3.30PM
• 2nd Shift = 5.00PM – 3.30AM
• Schedules run Sunday – Wednesday, or Wednesday - Saturday.

What do our warehouse associates do?
- Some departments unload containers, manipulating items with their hands, using powered vehicles to take items to our storage racks and place in the correct location.
- Some departments pick items from our steal racks, transfer them using powered vehicles and load them into containers from bottom to top by hand.
- All warehouse associates operate our order pickers (powered vehicle) which go up to 40ft.
- Some departments use; forklifts – reach and clamp, pallet jacks, dollies.
- All associates utilize scanners and computers/technology.

Distribution Center Team Member Requirements:
· Ability to lift and carry objects up to 100 pounds and manipulate up to 250 pounds occasionally (think of lifting sofas throughout the day).
· Ability to obtain our company-issued Powered Industrial Vehicles licenses and operate our vehicles in a safe and appropriate manner.
· Ability to be comfortable working at heights often.
· Ability to learn/use basic computer and scanning systems daily.
· Ability to stand and move about on foot for the duration of your shift, often bending, twisting, squatting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching at or above shoulder level

Shift start: 5:00AM or 5:00PM
Shift length: 10 - 10.5 hours
Sunday-Wednesday, Wednesday-Saturday

Ability to learn our basic computer and warehouse / distribution center scanning systems Must be able to work at heights often. Able to obtain a valid, company-issued Forklift or Powered Industrial Vehicles license where required Basic counting, math and measurement skills Be able to read, write, and comprehend the meaning of basic communications Ability to reliably work a defined full time schedule
