Job Description
· Client's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers.
· As client’s products and services scale the globe, the team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for client’s future - everything from underwater cables to physical data center space.
· As a Economic Development Program Manager, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to support client’s infrastructure growth.
· The Economic Development Program Manager role is a key position within client’s Energy and Location Strategy team.
· This team’s mission is to provide data center production capacity, anywhere in the world, in a timeframe that meets client’s needs.
· In this position, you will support the company’s global economic development program for data centers.
· This is a dynamic role, working with specific project teams on legislative analysis and vendor management, while leading important economic development projects.
· Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running.
· From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of client platforms, we make client’s product portfolio possible.
· We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We're always on call to keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
· Perform day-to-day project management duties to facilitate the production of various economic development team projects including economic impact studies and data analytics
· Collaborate with cross-functional partners including tax, finance, legal, policy, and communications on a variety of economic development matters
· Manage relationships with outside counsel and other professional service providers
· Perform ad hoc economic development research related to client’s existing and prospective data center operations.
· Support the development of the economic development team’s electronic tools and competitive intelligence library.
Job Requirements:
Requirements
· -Bachelor’s degree in political science, business, related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
· -3 years of experience within a corporate organization, law firm, accounting firm, consultancy or government agency that involved managing economic impact studies
· -Excellent written and oral communication skills
· -Excellent organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
· -3 years of state and local tax research and/or public policy experience
· -Experience or familiarity with a range of issues such as indirect taxes, economic development policy, economic and fiscal impact studies, and presentation development
