Job Description

Marshfield Clinic Wausau Center is a major health care facility with more than 100 providers. In addition to primary care services, the Center offers a number of specialists who focus on treating more complicated health concerns.

The Education Programs Specialist works under the direction of the Manager to manage the day-to-day task of the students or residency program and ensure program success and outcomes. This individual schedules, tracks, and reports learner and faculty activity is essential including ensuring data integrity for third party and CMS audits. The Education Program Specialist proactively establishes the flow of program office activities, prioritizes program-related tasks, and ensures that the program or clerkship director is aware of important deadlines related to program activities.  This individual relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and make decisions within prescribed limits in the absence of the program or clerkship director.

Full-time, Mon-Fri; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Requires:

• Demonstrated experience with computer software programs to include database, spreadsheet and word processing applications
• Experience with research and data analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from different countries and cultures. Knowledgeable in budget preparation
• Strong organizational abilities and ability to operate/troubleshoot audio-visual equipment in addition to one of the following:

• Associates degree in Business Administration, Communications or Healthcare Administration and two years of experience in an academic or healthcare setting.

  – OR –

• High School diploma or equivalent and three years of experience in an academic or healthcare setting
• State of Wisconsin driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Preferred/Optional: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications or Healthcare Administration and one year of experience in an academic or healthcare setting.
